A week of Change

This week has been a rather interesting one, I must say.  My final week at work was handled fairly smoothly, all things considered.  It really was a blessing, and in a lot of ways I am going to miss working there.  A lot of good people work at Fedex Express, and the job did wonders for assisting in ensuring I could move to this point in my life.  But, as they say, the show must go on.  Now that Fedex is out of the picture, I have to look forward to Ball State, which means the creative juices must continue to flow.

I'm fairly close now to have been dating Michele for a month, and I have to say, the relationship has taught me quite a bit about patience... and relaxing.  Naturally, not being able to see her on anything resembling a consistent basis has been something I have had to learn to deal with.  But so far, I've found it to be a worthwhile venture.  Even if she cannot be physically be here for me, it has been a blessing and a joy to be in this relationship so far.  The road has been, and will likely remain, interesting.  I look forward to seeing how it continues to turn.

Moving away from the sappy reminiscing and sappy romantic 'aww' stuff, we look forward to this week.  Gencon.  Dubbed "The Best Four Days in Gaming."  One of the reasons I left Fedex at the time I did.  It's coming, it's almost here, it's going to be an adventure to be sure.  Naturally, I will be spending the week doing all manner of gaming and faffing about.  The important thing, of course, is that all of my friends are going to be there that I rarely get to see.  Exciting times ahead!

I've got some ideas for some screenplays I want to get to work on.  I will get to the details when I return home from this whole Gencon thing.  I refuse to claim that these will be fantastic or deep ideas, but I am optimistic that at least the term 'interesting' can be attached to them.
